Love's Bridge.

Posted by Sam A. on September 07, 2003 at 08:43:45

The following are from e-mails I received from a former member.

"As an ex-member I understand your intentions to inform people of the ugly reality that is the Family, however, Christina is no longer a member and is doing legitimate charity work."

"Once again I understand your intentions to expose the evil in the cult, but I urge you to keep in mind that individuals who were born in the cult didn't have any choice in the matter, and those who left the cult and continue to unselfishly help others should be encouraged, not slandered. How can the children of the 'Children of God' get on with their lives if they are continuously associated with the crimes of their parents? Is this fair and just?"

"Though the FCF is run by former child abusers and creeps, it gives cult members a vehicle for doing charity, which is much easier than starting their own charity organization. If they are serious about what they're doing, like Christina, they will eventually register as a public charity and probably break ties with the FCF eventually."

My response is that yes is true the younger former members didn't have a choice in been born in the Family, but now they have a choice in leaving the cult, disassociating themselves from the cult's biggest and most major front group,FCF, and if they want to continue doing charity work to start their own.

I also think they should come clean.

For my part I will try to contact Steve Harrigan of CCN, embassador James Collins, Consul General James Bigus, Russian officials Kamenev, Zhdanov, Tatayan Margolina and others, send them my newsletter, etc.
