Clowning and our web site

Thanks for your support. As I said in my post, several LB founders were in TF when the project started, and "clowning" was frequently used both as a means of entertaining children and as a means of raising money for the project. I see nothing inherently wrong with this, though I understand why you're a bit spooked.

The "raising funds for the project" bit might sound all too familiar and make you even more concerned. One of the things I hated most about TF was the dishonesty, and raising funds dishonestly. I can honestly say those managing this project have always done their best to make sure that funds raised for the project were actually used for the project. That included providing basic living expenses for those who were actively involved in the project, and salaries for full-time employees. You should've heard the howl, though, when Christina insisted that goods donated for the street children were not to be used by members of TF! People who grew up in the group were used to using anything that was donated for themselves, and I admire Christina for not letting anyone get away with this. We heard that some volunteers later used this project as a platform to raise funds for themselves. If that is true they are guilty of criminal actions, but we never condoned such actions.

I'm sure our web site has a "Family" feel to it. After all, it was made by a former member (me). Singing with children, making animal balloons for children, those are all things we used to do (and still do on special occasions). Teaching TF's beliefs and doctrines to them is something we never did.
