I understand they are very sweet individuals, no doubt. I can't imagine what it would be like to have raised a daughter and have her turn out in such a way. However, as someone pointed out, your aunt is more than just a misguided soul. If that were the case, we could say that about every criminal and offer them safe haven from any retribution for their actions. Your aunt has crossed the line and worse, she has made herself invisible and able to escape the long arm of the law. Therefore, her victims have no way of facing their abuser and there is no closure. Countless lives have been torn apart, families distanced from each other, children taken away at a young age and put in victor programs or youth homes, parents forced to separate for "the good of the cause," inheritances put in a pot leaving members penniless, women coerced into giving their bodies to biblical prostitution with Karen Zerby at the helm, leading the way, and the list goes on and on. You aunt has a lot to answer to and if you like, you can help us answer some of these nagging questions that have gone unanswered. Like, just how did David Berg entice your aunt into becoming his mistress? Do you think she was predisposed for any particular reason into being a second wife to a sexually perverted wandering evangelist? That's a big question in my mind.
