another awful story

that is so sad. I'm so sorry to hear that. But that's TF - the wonderful greatest Christians on earth - so they think. They could care less about you, it's only about their group. We also had to pay for our own fare home. Thank God I had just received an inheritance and I asked my mom to keep enough for me in case I needed air fare - how did I know? I wish I had been less loyal and more deceitful and never told them about it at all. They still got 90 percent of my inheritance money - a second time around. See, Berg didn't like all the persecution sucking up their world service money by the way of air fare for large families. That's why he designed the 88 exodus from foreign fields. Supposedly, it was for large families and those not adjusting to the field - whatever that means. Later on he admitted it was to get those people out who were a burden and not have to pay their air fare later when there was a raid. By that time I think there had been 3 or 4 raids and whole countries had to be evacuated. It was all about them saving money. Here we were terrified to leave the field or IRFers Beware might happen to us, then Berg ups and tells us to go home. I was so confused, I completely stopped reading Mo letters of any kind, or even the bible. By the time I reached a home in the States I was there physically, but not mentally. I was already gone in my mind, I just didn't know how to get out physically, that was the hard part. Then the guilt took over for about 5 years solid, that was awful.
