I partially agree with you and partially disagree. The part I disagree with is this:

'Many SGAs were abused in one form or another and many FGAs were perpetrators or witnessed abuse. What this means is that not all FGs are guilty or witnessed anything and not all SG were abused. I suspect that these are no more than a handful. Does anybody think it was possible to be in TF for over a couple of years and not have known what was going on?'

I think from what Jules & Albatross are saying more than a handful of SGAs were abused. Maybe that's not what you were saying, but were saying that most of the abuse by FGAs was perpetrated by a handful. If so, then that's possible. But as far as SGAs abused I get the impression that the numbers were quite significant.

The other thing I disagree with is where you said it would be impossible to be in the Family for a couple years and not have known what was going on. Yes, you couldn't help but know that you were living in a highly sexualized environment, but as far as specific incidents of abuse, abusers don't usually take advantage of kids out in the open. As much as possible they do it away from public scrutiny behind closed doors. Susie and many others can testify that abuse can be happening right in their home without them knowing until after the fact.

This is not to say that nobody saw anything. Obviously some stuff was witnessed and adults stood by in some kind of stupefied daze not even cluing in at the time that it was wrong.
