Does anyone here know me?

Posted by Eva St John on December 12, 2003 at 23:50:19

Hi,

My name is Eva. I was in TF from '72 to '86 in New Zealand, Australia, Pacific islands, Indonesia and SEA, and was then a live out in Australia until about '90. My Family names were Nekoda and then Davida. I then became a vocal ex member during the '90's re: the treatment of TF kids, speaking out frequently in the media and running a support network and refuge for kids coming out of TF and other similar groups.

By the late '90's I was struggling with a debilitating 'chronic fatigue'-type illness and had to walk away from it all and take a break to focus on my own healing. Since then I've been basically living a quiet life in the country smelling the roses and working on my music. I haven't had any contact with other (non related) ex members for many years until now.

This has actually only been due to my interest being rekindled when I stumbled on a so-called 'conference' being held on 'Children's Rights in Religious Movements'in my local area, which turned out to be nothing more than a PR and propaganda exercise by TF and their duped 'academics'. I was so infuriated by what I heard and TF's deception and denial around their former children's plights that I was compelled to take a public stand once again, and speak out at the conference. I also wrote a full page newspaper article about it which was published last week. I have submitted it to the administrators of this site in the hope it will be posted so others can read it.

Anyhow, I don't have a lot of time today to stay on the chat board, (although I'll check it later for any replies), but if anyone remembers me or wants to communicate with me, feel free to contact me on . I look forward to hearing from you.

Love, Eva
