It is not popular to say here, but the only area I disagree with you on is the one where "of course we were the ones that went and surrendered ourselves to false shepherds.." For us to have consciously done that, we would have had to know what the family was about before entering. And we would have had to know that the shepherds were "false shepherds". Did you know that when you joined? I didn't.
