Probably now, it's up to your daughter, to follow up or not. It will be very hard to prove after so many years and no police report was filed.
Is your exwife still in the family? and how does she feel about what happened?
I would recommend to you that you shouldn't post anything accusatory about this brother to any web sites before you file suit against him. He could turn around and sue you for slander or libel. You want to have the law in your favor, not in his.
And have you talked to him about this? Or you just so irate that you can't? Make sure your justice is true and it's the correct thing to do.
I'm glad it wasn't me or any of my children, the guy would have had some good whoop ass already.
My prayers are with you.
Listen, the way, I look at, some of these people are just out and out wolves. It is your job to defend your lambs against them.
I know I'm mother hen, but I have 3 daughters. And I told one of their boy friends that if he ever touched my daughter again( he slapped her) that I would be coming there and hell would be coming with me. And believe me, I would follow up.
People have to know that there is and will be recompensation for their actions and it you let it go, it will only worsen.
Try to use the law first, collect evidence etc. And if a criminal lawsuit doesn't do it than go after them civily.
Will he talk to you? Do you know if he did this to other children or not? Is he still in the family?
