Prosecution and Exposure vs. Individual recovery

Posted by it gets curiouser & curiouser on December 18, 2003 at 14:35:06

From the Love's Bridge website: There is an area where they are asked if they are related to FCF, and it clearly states that they set up their ACT program together with FCF.
What is confusing is the double standard of who deserves to be left alone and who should be pursued or exposed. Some agree that what youth in or related to the family do is their business. What about RECOVERY from a hideous group that used us all and damaged people of all ages? is it "okay" for an FCF org to be unchallenged because younger and (it seems) active family associates run it, but if an older person has gone on with their life they should turn themselves in to the police for "failure to report a crime" even though within the family perameters, and the lack of sanity within, it could not be seen as a crime? It seems that printing of letters with regards to the woman's role makes it clear that women were in the worst of roles, contrary to what many women believed prior to joining the family and after leaving.
The point of bringing this up is not to challenge any one group. It is to challenge THOUGHT and the thinking and rationalizations going on for any agenda aimed at exposing. It seems that the thing that caused a great failure in the Waco siege of Koresh and Co., is that there were a whole lot of lives damaged and LOST, including children because of the zealousness of some to attack the whole group. Does history have lessons? It seems that if the feds had simply WAITED for Koresh to be out and about and then do a search while detaining Koresh, they could have gotten the head, including top leaders, and saved the body. The body does deserve to be spared. The body does deserve recovery regardless of age. Many things were done wrongly, easy to see in hindsight. Horrific to see in hindsight.
Men suffered too, in the family. They were separated from families, had partners/wives ripped away, children ripped away. Within that dark group, who had freedom of thought? NOW we do. And many have done great things to reconcile their own respective pasts and get on their feet. Where do exers go for support if the focus is so heavy on self loathing (for some). It's just something to think about.
