I called lawyers in Massachusetss and in New Jersey last year.
Lawyers in both states said that it was possible the statute would be lifted.
I've searched on the interent and have found nothing indicating that statutes were changed in those states.
I'll probably call the lawyers again and see if there's any more progess.
California either already has lifted it's statutes in regard to the Catholic church or is planning to do so.
