My German is very rusty! But I remember that on New Years in Deutschland, there were always lots of explosions- many many fireworks set off by individuals. It was quite exciting. That is illegal now in most cities in the USA (of any size). I miss that. Do you still have it there?
Anyway, we went out with friends and then came home to watch the ball drop on TV. It was rainy and muggy out, but the night was enjoyable. Just not conducive to fireworks displays which I did not see here. :/ Miss that! But hope 2004 is a great year for you and your family. :)
