The reason the space program workers have adequate health care coverage is because that industry is a beneficiary of corporate welfare in the form of HUGE tax credits for health insurance.
This is not the case for the mom-and-pop machine shop that builds widgets that support the production line of a major NASA parts supplier or the independent research consultant who helps local schools evaluate how well they've implemented an unfunded mandate like Leave No Child Behind.
I want every worker in the US to get the same basic benefits that government, military-industrial, and other special interest (Big Business) workers get.
