Alan - you're funny. I honestly don't think there is a way. It's like my hubby was saying the other day - something has to give. We are so dependent on fossil fuels and cars, etc., there is no way out. One day, it's just going to all blow. It doesn't take a prophet to see that. We had one day here a couple of years ago when the electricity went out for a whole day in the whole city. That really woke me up. We are so dependent on our infracture, our commerce, our network of import, export, who could survive without electricty or gas? Apartment dwellers are not growing vegetables and raising livestock. People are totally lost if they can't get their food from the neighborhood supermarket. It would be total chaos.
