You have incomplete information.

Let me state here and now that I have opened up my home to people exiting many years ago, even before the days of Newdaynews, and we had a few people pass through. A bunch of us exers also made coordinated efforts to reach people still in TF, and offer them sanctuary if they left. There are also a lot of volunteers today, for the safe passage foundation, and people have all said they are willing to open up their homes. I also know of several people who would never speak up about having housed people who are leaving, because they don't want the publicity, just like I never said anything until now. I can think of 5 shining examples.

So now you know there are more than just the 3 ABC characters, but maybe you don't know their names.

Their not coming around the boards may have much more to do than just the criticism they face, or the upset status quo. More to do with issues of betrayal. To mention a few things, one of them played elaborate games on the boards, assuming fake F identities and upset a lot of people. Two of these proved to have been passing information both ways, leaking information out of TF and updating TF about sensitive ex-members information. One of them was very vocal in her denial of abuses, and still handing out Mo letters. I would say they left because they couldn't live with how they messed up.

I also disagree, with the point you made about associating with Family people and helping members leave. I am not willing to associate with F members, but I am willing to open up my home to a departing members, even knowing that people who first leave might still have a lot of F inside them. I just don't have the facilities this year.
