I know that some of you guys don't have a great deal of respect for me, for whatever reason. But, I do have a lot of experience in things like online communication and business.

We do have some fundamental things in common. Though I was never a member, my wife was and what happened to her in The Family has had a profound effect of me and my kids. I believe that The Family is a destructive cult. I have seen the abused children, the suicides, the broken families. All in the name of love and Jesus Christ.

I think that grown ups who want to involve themselves in an organization like that, probably have the right to do it if they want. But, I also think that it is important that they know, up front, exactly what they are getting themselves into.

Who here would have joined if a site like this were available for your review the day you met The Family? If you would have had full disclosure before you got involved, you would have simply been crazy to go forward. It probably would have saved most of you all that grief.

Information is the most powerful tool in the world, and our generation has at its fingertips the most powerful method of information ever available to man. The Internet has changed everything in our lives. We can deliver written information, photographs and videos in real time from our home PC's, and it doesn't cost squat.

The thing is, you have to be somewhat organized. If you come off as an angry mob of disgruntled former members, or "apostates", you will have very low credibility.

I think that coming right out of the box with "Masturbation to Jesus" and "Religious Prostitution" causes mainstream people to just shut off. I think you have to start with someting that people understand, get them engaged, then give them the old... "if you think that's bad... look at THIS!". Then hit them with the Families own words from their own publications on these more controversial topics.

It's what The Family did to you, and it worked.

Also, don't make mistakes. FCF is not The Family. FCF is a corporation formed to support mostly Family missions. If you make the case against The Family, the case against FCF makes itself.

That's my 2 cents worth.
