My perspective is you often get caught diverting, distorting, misrepresenting, misplaying, omitting, re-ordering the chronology of, locked in your own unstoppable need for having the last word, for trying being in center stage; that your hindsight is 20/20, and you have no qualms about re-writing history in the light of current facts.
