You might want to look at the 'Forgiveness' article by Nancy which redefines standard thinking on forgiveness and reconciliation. I reposted the link over on the Journeys board. It might be some help to you, I don't know.
If you have any more questions about it you might even post your question on the MovingOn board & ask Nancy to explain further. I think they'd let you post there as you have a legitimate concern that so many SGs have thought about as well.
