Ricky-Davidito writes that Berg exercised control over Mommy Maria by threatening to replace her with a younger, fresher model. Ricky's account indicates that Berg's threats occurred at a time when Berg was drinking heavily, aging, and becoming increasingly dependent on Mommy Maria to take care of him.

Hypothesis: Mommy Maria flipped the script and exerised psychological control over Berg by "raising the ghost" of his mother. Mommy Maria understood how to manipulate the voice (in Berg's head) of his mother, an authority figure without parallel in his life.

You know why parents can push our buttons so well? Because they're the people who INSTALLED them! Over time, Mommy Maria became extremely good at pushing the buttons and flipping the triggers that Mother installed.

The way Berg worked out getting control over the Mother who had threatened to castrate him (and manage the anxiety of his dependence on her) was to talk about wanting to f*k Mother and replace Mommy with a younger version. But you can read this stuff in Kent's Lustful Prophet.

Clinical Harpie from Hell is really interested in focusing some attention on Mommy Maria's little shop of horrors.
