I'm really sorry to hear about your abuse. It upsets me to hear of yet another case where the victim is immobilized through needing to recover and get some distance from their traumatic experiences, or neutralized from taking action against the offender due to their own kind-heartedness and consideration for the well-being of other people they love. I made the same choices too.
