Berg in it for the money?

I know that no one here joined The Family because they were interested in being rich (unless they were seriously deluded), but what about the founder himself? I have been wondering about this for a while. Does anyone think that he got rich off of the "tithes" that TF members sent him from litnessing? I mean, what did he do with that money besides print those books? All I really know about his (David Berg's) life was what he chose to write in those little books (who knows how much of that was an accurate depiction). Anyhow, what is everyone's thoughts on this? Did he live richly? Was he wealthy? Was that part of his motive for starting TF?
