Tutsis run the government there now, there are efforts at reconcialiation being made, don't know how successful.
The backdrop of the Rwandan massacres, was that Rwanda was considered to be the most "Christian" nation of Africa, with more than 90% of its people baptized, mostly Roman Catholic and Anglican, both Tutsis and Hutus. Since the genocide, Islam has been become more popular.
During the killings, many Tutsis had taken refuge in churches for safety, which didn't help, they were killed regardless, sometimes even with Church complicity.
