I don't know that the case is that compassion is limited if someone is not truly out or an ex - where did anyone say that? Not rushing to conclusions are you?

The question was simple - are they truly out of TF or not. There is no tribunal and no new cult setting up a leadership council with new rules and guidelines (???). However, there is a right and wrong and things that do need to be addressed. I think it's safe to believe that Berg was and is (in his present ghost form)a perveted pedophile. This has been documented by several experts in their field of psychology from Berg's own words, let alone his sordid lifestyle. For someone to hang onto Berg's words while denouncing Maria is quite odd. Yes, it may take time, that is true, though I doubt "years" is the norm. In my case, I kept tithing because I was afraid of Berg and the fear he had put in me that God would judge me. I needed someone to tell me that Berg was not a prohet of God and I didn't have to obey him. If I had had support in that area, maybe I would have quit tithing sooner and been free from that choke hold.

It's very confusing - one size does not fit all - we are a varied lot with different experiences and feelings. However, there is a constant, the mantra and doctrines coming out of either MLs or GNs are mind-controlling and destructive to member's emotional well-beings. Yes, it takes a while to see that, but you have to start somewhere. Also, some of these people might be still using their old "F" psuedo-names and collecting donations. It is very possible that they are being told to say they are no longer a part of TF so as to take the heat off of their ministries. All they have to do to be "out" of TF, is to be on some new status, but still tithing. They have lied like this before: there was a time when we were told to tell everyone TF had disbanded and we are now a new group and gave a new name. We actually had people believing that, and it was nowhere near the truth.

Another thing that is a concern is that if these people "think" they have left, but continue to tithe for some fear factor or whatever reason, they've been lied to again and so are we.
