What is The Judgment? I have never heard of that before. I’m more interested in it for myself than for my dad. I doubt it would change his opinion of Berg and The Family. He thinks that anything bad written or said about TF is lies and/or coming from a “possessed” person.

Anyway, I think a big factor is my step-mom and us. He was court-ordered to pay a certain amount (which he has been admonished before in court for changing without a ruling) of child support. Seven of us kids are already out of the house, so we are out of the equation, but I have 3 younger siblings that he still has to pay for. My step-mom would never join TF (sometimes I think that she is the only one of my “parents” with any sense!). She thinks that half of the people in there are crazy (and I’m pretty sure she recognizes their cult-status even though my dad is oblivious). She also has five kids, 2 of them under 18. On top of the many mouths he’s responsible for, my dad was never good at litnessing. My mom used to always get mad because when he would go for the whole day, he would come back with only ten bucks. He could never provision food, etc. The reason why I think TF liked him was because he was passionate about all the doctrines.

Yeah, I know it was kind of rude of TF how they pushed us away. Not that I’m sorry, it’s probably the best thing that could have happened for me. I got to get a full and complete education. I got to leave the whole over-sexed, repressive atmosphere. And now I have a much healthier and fulfilling life. TF was also wrong in that they didn’t see the big picture. At the time that we were separating from TF, my two brothers were in a teen home in Texas. One of my brothers was particularly good at raising money for them. He was the musical one of our family, which was a great asset. Maybe they thought that my brothers would stay, but they did not. When we left, I for one, was glad that I didn’t have to litness anymore. I hated that!
