I think that's a bit over the top too. Personally, I don't think Bush is a cult leader.
I don't think the military is a cult. I do think they use some brainwashing and mind control techniques. How else are you going to turn a normal, happy 18 year old into someone willing to kill (or die) on command?
I don't think that most kids join the military to kill or die. I think they join these days in order to get money for college, or to have somewhere to go after high school. At some point, all that has to change for them.
