Amnesty Part 2

Posted by CNN on May 18, 2004 at 09:46:36

List of offenses that you will receive amnesty for
48. (Peter:) Following is the list of the offenses that fall within the amnesty. For obvious reasons, there are some things we cannot grant amnesty for. Any excommunicable offenses listed in Amendments GN 1033, "Offenses Warranting Excommunication," that are not on this list, remain fully excommunicable. Amnesty will not be granted for those offenses.
49. You will receive amnesty for all of the following excommunicable offenses:
* Any male-with-male sexual interaction.
* A member 21 or over engaging in consensual sex with a 16- or 17-year-old.
* Those under 21 kissing teens out of their age range.
* Substance abuse.
* The continual voicing of doubts, criticisms, or skepticism, in a destructive manner designed to foster strife and schism, of Dad, Maria, Peter, the Word or the Family.
50. You will also receive amnesty for all probationary status offenses as listed in the "Charter Amendments 2003" GN, "Offenses Warranting Probationary Status."

51. (Mama:) This list hits some of the majors, including most of the excommunicable and all probationary status offenses. But as we said earlier, this is a good time to confess anything that's on your heart or that has been holding you back from growing or progressing or being as close to the Lord as you could be.
52. Please note that Home Censure is not included in the points that will be pardoned. Home Censure is a discipline that the Home applies because the behavior of the individual is in some way affecting the Home negatively, and if a Home has been faithfully shepherding a person, giving lesser disciplines along the way, and then finally decides that not enough progress has been made and the person really needs Home Censure to wake up to the seriousness of their situation, then Peter and I do not want to override the Home and the process they have been working on to help an individual gain victories. We've been urging the Homes to be more active in the shepherding of their members, so it would be counterproductive to simply release those who are on Home Censure.
53. Please note that the excommunicable offense of continual breaking or persistent disregard for the "Charter of Responsibilities and Rights" or any of the "Fundamental Family Rules" is not listed amongst the points that will be pardoned in the amnesty. The reason for this is that there are some people who have been excommunicated in the last months because of repeated, persistent disregard for the Family rules and standard, to the point that it became obvious they were not in the Family in spirit, but were among those people who would do better and be happier finding another lifestyle outside of the Family. Usually such people have already been disciplined with Home Censure and/or probationary status, but they have repeatedly and blatantly continued in disobedience and sin. It is usually after much time, prayer and counsel has been invested in such people that the shepherds finally make the hard decision to excommunicate them. Those excommunications will not be pardoned‚ as that is part of the cleansing and strengthening of the Family.

54. (Jesus:) I am offering a pardon, undeserved mercy, to those who are genuinely trying to make it in the Family, who want to change and grow. The purpose of the pardon in such cases is to help catapult such people to a higher level of obedience and fruitfulness in their lives and service for Me.
55. But it's a different situation if someone has been persistently disregarding the rules and standard--practically or in spirit--to the point that the shepherds have seen fit to excommunicate them from the Family. If someone was removed from Family fellowship because of blatant ongoing disregard for the rules, in obedience to My admonition to cleanse the Family of those who are not with you in spirit, then that does not fall within the parameters of the amnesty.
56. I do want the cleansing of hearts and souls and spirits and minds, and I also want the cleansing of the Family. The cleansing of the inner man of those who remain is all-important and vital to the changes that each one needs to go through. And the cleansing of those who need a "time out" in order to make their calling and election sure is also needed for some.

You're going to feel so much lighter!
57. (Mama:) This time of the renewal is going to be a time of change and spiritual progress, and those of you who are able to confess and go into it with clean hearts are going to feel so much lighter. Plus, the Lord has built in the cleansing and strengthening that we all need. In a way, it will be like getting all the benefits of a probationary status term, but with a lot more fun and happiness and without the sense of punishment. We'll benefit from the fast of System input all together, and we will hopefully all be following a specialized course of getting back to the basics in the areas the Lord knows are most important for each of us personally. So in that sense, even if you do confess to a Charter infraction and receive amnesty, it's not as if you're missing a grade or something important to your spiritual life by not having to do a PS term, because you have an exceptional opportunity for spiritual growth and progress and cleansing during the renewal. And we all need that, whether we have a Charter offense to confess or whether we need to confess other sins or offenses that are not covered in the Charter, but which are just as serious or dangerous to our spiritual lives and fruitfulness.
58. The Lord has given us a very special gift with this amnesty. Along with this, He's giving everyone the cleansing and strengthening that you need to make it‚ much like you would experience if everyone went through a PS term together--but with a lot more blessings and benefits and perks and happiness, and without the punishment or condemnation or embarrassment.

59. I'll close this GN with some wonderful promises from our Husband.

60. (Jesus:) Doesn't it feel good to be clean? If you're not clean yet, you will be soon. Open your heart and let Me wash you and make you new. Look on this opportunity as I do--something wonderful, something beautiful, a gateway to even more blessings and gifts of My Spirit. I want to liberate you from the condemnation and weight of past sin. I want you to be free and happy in Me, knowing that all your sins are behind My back. I want to seal up anything the Enemy could use as a crack in your walls of defense.
61. So give anything to Me that has been holding you back. If there's something that's not right between you and someone else, ask Me how to humbly and wisely make it right. If there's some unconfessed sin in your heart, get it off your chest to the appropriate people. You'll feel so much better, I promise! And you'll be on the path of progress and victory.
62. My goal is for each of you and the Family as a whole to get to the place where you are free of compromise, unconfessed sin, disobedience, and all those things that let the Enemy in and make things so much harder for you as My disciples. They're like spiritual weights that make everything more difficult. They hold back My blessings. They limit the power you could have access to. Once you get rid of the weights, you'll realize how much spiritual strength and faith and stamina I have made available to you.
63. The Family of the future is going to be a place of deep trust, respect, fulfillment and happiness. You're going to be a strong team that the Enemy cannot break or penetrate. All these things I'm asking of you are steps toward that goal. I'm asking you because I love you, and I want you to get there as quickly as possible!
64. Won't you follow Me to the place of greater blessings‚ happiness and freedom? You have nothing to lose--nothing except maybe a few remnants of pride, self-righteousness and sin. Who would want to hang on to those, anyway? So forsake these things that are holding you back, and reach out for what I have for you in return--the true treasures of humility, openness, forgiveness and freedom. When you think about it like that, there's no comparison!

65. (Mama:) I love you, dear Family, and I'm claiming the keys of humility, change, and freedom for you! I pray you'll take advantage of this opportunity to come clean and have a whole new start, without having to go through all the usual consequences. What a wonderful gift from our Husband!
Much love always,
Mama and Peter
