I saw a poll done in Iraq and more than 80 percent of the people are happy that we are there and want us to remain and help them set up their government. They know they have terrorist forces within their midst (Baathist party remnants and forces loyal to Hussein) trying to stop it. Why do you think a prominent cabinet member was gunned down, these forces do not want democracy, they hate it. Even their highest Shiite spiritual leader asked these forces to cease their terrrorism. Apparently, some Muslims are smarter than you. But then again, they aren't swayed by the liberal media because you won't hear these kind of positive remarks in our own newspapers, or at best, they might be stuck in a tiny column on an obscure page somewhere. You have to hunt for those things in the American press. It really disgusts me from the beginning of this whole thing how the press for the most part has seemingly wanted the U.S. to fail. They almost wished for a Viet Nam as if they were sorry they missed out on the whole 60s protest era and would love to be back there again. It seemed that most of the mainstream news wanted us to lose just to prove their point. I can't imagine a news or media system like that in WWII. Hitler would have won for sure if we had had the news the way we do now.
