I have debated in my mind quite a lot over how much Zerby actually believes the sh*t she puts out there versus how much of it is a cynical, consciously calculated manipulation.
Since I was more directly influenced by Berg and have read more of his stuff, I concluded some time ago that he was aware (in some measure) of what he was doing. There's too much evidence to suggest that he had some insight (not a lot, mind you). I'm thinking in particular about the content of his alcoholic rants and his admission of alcoholism.
Zerby has always struck me as something of a dim bulb by comparison. I've never read anything she's written that suggests an iota of self appraisal or insight. I can't get over my image of her as a parrot on the captain's shoulder.
