the way I see Maria

also by looking at what has been written and her own writings, including James Penn's eye opening accounts, I personally think that she is the catalyst that made the whole thing happen. Had she not been there to support Berg in his deviances, calling him a prophet, etc., he may not have had the gumption to keep it going, having to deal with Mother Eve's doubts. Remember how he always gave Maria so much credit because she bolstered his ego whereas Mother Eve did not. She supported him and perpetrated it.

I think that any woman who knowingly walks into a relationship with a man who is already married and cares not what waves she creates or who she hurts in the process of getting what she wants has left all moral issues behind in her quest to satisfy her own lusts. I see Maria this way. She has no real care or concern for people as such, except for a stepping ladder and whatever use they can be to keep her kingdom going. I think she and Berg are/were two peas in a pod and carried out the abuses equally. She was lusting after married men in a Christian environment to boot. She was lusting after power and position and she got it. Children, to her, were seen as mere backs to build her kingdom on and if they got in the way, off they went. That is about the worst epitome of callousness that I can see.
