there's probably been enough politics on this page already. Berg really trashed our way of looking at the world and that is a hard thing to reconcile sometimes. For some, they may never get over that. Politics is not an easy subject to discuss.

I remember when I joined the COG I thought that they had all the answers to the world's problems. It seemed so much easier to believe in a spiritual being that knew what was really going on in the world than to try and decipher it myself. I was quite confused at the time.

There are so many people with an agenda it is hard to figure out who is saying what and where does the truth lie. We all have to come to these conclusions ourselves individually. We are no longer children that need to have someone tell us what we should or should not believe about world situations. I may not understand it all, but I am glad that I can read all the material I want and make my own deductions. It takes a lot of research and hard work, but it is also exciting to finally feel like I have some sort of handle on history and present day history in the making. Everyday I learn something new and I can actually read history and find it interesting.
