Dear Matt, I don't know since when you're out of TF?!We stopped tithing 92 & last we were in a home/combo was 89.I praise the Lord, that my own kids didn't have to go through TF's teachings. The
2 kids of my exmate of her first marriage had it
much harder, to adapt to the needed changes. They had a rather tough childhood, however, TG, not experiencing any sexual abuses from all I know.

When my life was hit with the seperation from my
exmate 1995, something I didn't want at all as I am really fond of family lifestyle too, I thought, passing from this life might be easier, to avoid all that pain...but the Lord hung onto me.Dreams where shattered, not only no real living for the Lord,it seemed, having to learn a new job, providing for a family & then having a broken one.

What inspired me in these days, as I also was disillussioned by the TF-sample, how they built up
inner & outer circles, lacking real love (some comments of WS were so selfrighteous, it made us puke)was to read the biographies of some of God's pioneers of old like e.g. Hudson Tylor, Georg Muller etc. As I got to believe in Jesus through
being witnessed to on the streets by TF, it was
great for me, to see the lifestyle of nonTF-christian-believers for a change.

But isn't it really a relief, Matt, to be freed of a group with lots of claims, from miracle-healing...plenty got sick & or died with/without "proper" faith...to really "loving" children, harbouring tons of pervs, inflicting heaviest emotional damages on numerous children/teens.(Not to mention false prophecies!or false interpretations)

Looking into the Word/Bible shows easily, that TF is just not it.Alright, many churches don't cut it either, not a big surprise, however many at least don't claim to be right at the pinnacle of spirituality. The one I am fellowshipping with has
lots of young families, supports missionaries & is
subdivided into housecells. Also the music is more refreshing than most of the stuff I heard until 89
while in TF, cause they're more praise songs...since TF seemed to have specialised for long just on witnessing tools.

And big surpise, I met an Indonesian Evangelist, who lives more by faith, having more manifestations of HIS strength & power, than I ever encountered in TF.So, just let go of TF, not necessarily of good/godly, high idealistic dreams & visions.Just don't hope, to find it fulfilled in
TF.(True, very few Christian groups believe in living Acts 2:44,45 & you could say are fairly selfish...it seems we all follow afar off, not just Peter in a critical time of his life, but then the selfrighteosness of TF stinks, as they ought to do this & leave not the other undone...)

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We all know about TFs "revolutions", turn arounds & renewals...repenting TF-style...manmade rules
to abide by, some fairly good (diet etc.) others atrocious. (When have we heard, that TF repented of their adulterous, whoring attitudes??)

As we're at the end of this year's pentecost, I find the above scripture in more than one way fitting.4 years ago I went through a major heartsearch & I saw TF more & more critical through God's Word than ever before & experienced
a repentance & I also felt the need to be baptised
afterwards, although having been "sprinkled" as a baby, my parents doing it out of tradtion.

I believe, that God, Jesus & the Holy Spirit can touch & heal us innerly at any time we open our hearts in prayer to them, being sorry for all that went wrong, due to misunderstanding or any wilful
misbehaviour...forgiving also others, as we want to be forgiven & first of all experience HIS forgiveness.

TG, I always found the verse to become true in my life, whether in TF or afterwards out of TF, that I could cast all my problems/cares upon HIM & feeling immediately relieved & I shall think, it
should be the same with you & every believer for that matter.

Looking back, I had better experiences after TF than in TF & I don't mean wordly ones & I like to assume/believe, that the same Saviour can provide
something similar or better for you in the environment you live in.

Wish you continually His best for you.I pray for you.
