That was standard procedure. Before every major move they dumped those who asked too many questions or had problems obeying. I'd seen it happen to others & it finally happened to me. They don't want those with 'problems' to know where the new WS unit went to.

At the same time, a move is when they always 'experimented' by taking on new previously-unknown staff like your wife. If new staff doesn't work out they get dumped on the next move. But those dumped are not told they're being dumped, just 'we're moving to a new unit & it's a small place & there's not room for everyone so you're being let go.' It was a lie of course. Each move consisted of dumping doubters & testing new people.

I also didn't understand what that other poster was refering to.
