Yes, your point is very valid. :) However, we, the Fg, have got to remember that when an SG says that they were abused, those abusers had faces and names. They were not Berg or Zerby. They were us.

(BTW, I know you get the point, but I'm just indulging in a mini rant here to the posters who every so often do a Rodney King, imploring that both generations "get along" and view ourselves as common victims of the same nasty cult. Please indulge me.)

If 2000 SGs were abused, that means 2000 FGs were abusers. And if we weren't doing the abusing, we knew people who were. Or we were reading about it in the publications. Or we were sending in our tithes to support the chief abusers who could publish more literature condoning and covering up abuse.

How many read the Dito book and did not leave?

How many read The Devil Hates Sex and did not leave?

How many read all the FNs and FSMs of the 80's, with all their reference to kid sex and did not leave?

How many saw dance videos, or participated in them, and did not leave?

How many read Heaven's Girl and did not leave?

How many read the Mene series and did not leave?

How many read the Techi book and did not leave?

Yes, I know that some people, single moms and the like, were trapped to varying degrees, but an awful lot of us weren't.

And to go on and on about being victims, even though we stayed in until the 90's or later, really shows a great deal of disrespect for those who left when the dito book came out, or FFing started, or kiddie sex pubs. They had the presence of mind to up and leave, and they should be applauded for it. We should have done what they did. To go on about how innocent we are does these courageous folks a great disservice. They saw what was going on and left. We didn't.

In my books, the SGs have every right to label us as a generation soft on child abuse. Sure, a few of us are innocent, but not that many, by the criteria mentioned earlier. They're never going to "like" us, and they're never going to want to consider themselves in solidarity with us as victims. Get over it!

Put yourself in their shoes!!! Would you??

So, it would sure be nice not to read any more of these whining posts begging us all to be victims together. They are an insult to the truth. Maybe one poster is actually innocent, but most of us here are probably not. Wrap your head around that!

And then go over to Moving On and spend five or six hours brousing through the archives, reading the stories of horror.
