When I got to the point you are describing I realized that my besst options were to educate my children on my mistakes and my parents mistakes and hope their children would be better off. I have two grandchildren and so far things are well. I am fighting to brake away from perpetuating the mistakes of past generations and realizing how important is to know what those mistakes were are still top priority to me. It is a continual challenge but discussions like this are very helpful.
