Many of the specific cult recovery models emphasize the need to reconnect with the person one was before the group broke down one’s personality and remade it in their own image.
In my recovery I stayed "miraculously" away from all these expert books & counsels & if this happens to be one of their "ideas", well then I didn't miss anything.
I should reconnect with that insecure, timid, full of questions, manpleasing, always searching, not feeling loved person of old???????
Or with any buddies, which didn't care much anyway or any relatives????What do those experts mean????
I am glad, I graduated from that past and from the TF-past & my present is obviously not past yet, thank God!!
(There's another point to it, but it belongs to journeys, hint: it's about salvation as pre-joining turning point)
