I think it was what I heard on some show from an expert in the field of counseling who said, "You have to deal with your pain/past or else it will meet you later on." That struck me so much that I wrote it down. When I first left TF, I tried to bury everything like a bad dream. Well, it sort of worked for a few years until I imploded and knew I had to dig it out and deal with it. These boards were a great help for me at that time.
