oh how I like to be ordered around...

Could it be, that you read between the lines...I
simply suggested, that the song is not really the worst - my reasons given - whether the author of that line joked or not - sounded like a lame excuse - is not very relevant for me...so I stated an opinion, which no one has to agree with, I can easily stand alone with that.

Whether I am a pretribber, posttribber or whatever,...every word of the Bible is inspired of
God or not, those themes I didn't discuss much,
I touched them, as it is something beyond TF, as you probably know, so bashing TF in that regard would consequently mean bashing other groups, who have the same mindset.Do you see what I mean?...so I simply protested, whether it was jest or whatever, that sometimes we can leave TF alone. Why?Because if you attack TF in that regard, well than all posttrib Christians (&maybe even pretrib.Christians, depending of how you interpret that song) are simply nuts.
And yes, I read, that your husband has other views upon all that, other than you, may be that's some very sensitive subject for you.

As far as the "stupid dinner-table-morals" is concerned...no, thank God, I don't mingle too much with the dickey & tie-wearing culture...however,
to my understanding politics are rather discussed in such circles & they invite often people they know they agree with...(so no quarrels possible!)

One "shocking" movie, I saw from start to finish, is a danish movie...it's all about celebrating some rich man 60 something birthday...all relatives come of course & some special guests.
One of his sons spoils the whole dining-procedure
by revealing to the shocked audience, that the beloved father, honoured through speeches etc.,
actually sexually abused his children, which apparently caused one daughter to commit suicide.
I am with that son & against dining table morals...indigestions are curable.

I am fairly calm writing this, how about you reading it?
