DTCs

Posted by MG on October 10, 2004 at 05:06:48

Remember those? If you were still in the Family in the early 90's. Weren't they called that? Discipleship Training Camps ... a Victor Camp for FGs. Your last chance place, the ones that didn't make it were re-classified to TS status.

I was a good enough actor on being yeilded and obedient so that I never had to go to one. Or I always timed confessing my sins to leadership and getting prayer for my Huddersfields just right so that I was considered to be willing enough not to be in need of re-training. In the area we were in at the time of these camps, the shepherd in charge of our area DTC was a real Pol Pot type. I was so glad I didn't get sent there. With this guy you to watch out if he suspected he was getting the wrong signals from you, i.e. you weren't yeilding to his dictates. We had him as a shepherd before he was promoted to running the DTC. That's how and why I learned to act, out of fear, there always seemed to be some leaders like that no matter where I went in TF.
