Yes, you know, since Jeremy Spencer is still probably an "FDer" or "MMer", then he'll have to certainly tithe his 14%. So, this will surely help the cult's bank accounts somewhat. I'm sure "the Lord" showed them that it's the right time for him to do some music with them... the "it will be a time to get the message out" or "it's the endtime and it's their LAST chance", etc.
To be a "financial power" as was prophicied by Berg, they are going to have to use some of their "worldly knowledge" to say the least!
One book that became well-known in India was "God On God"... conversations with God. This helped them to publish and sell lots of books while the writer, Scott McGregor (a humble (in his own words) WS worker) did speaking engagements.
Their Activated and Aurora products are on some websites, you know.... and not just Family sites. "The Lord" showed them again to promote their publications en-mass. This was a bit contrary to what Berg taught as he always said that the Family's "paper-prophet-peddlars" were the best way to witness ... pounding the streets everyday. So if they sell to people they don't know on the internet, then it's almost impossible to "follow-up" on them and "bring them closer to the Family". So it has it's drawbacks according to Family philosophy.
But Berg always said that if "the Lord" saw that the Family couldn't handle being a finacial power, then it just won't happen. He said it's better to be poor and "close to the lord" than "rich and worldly".... which simply means cut off from the world and struggling desperately to survive and dependant on the cult.
What a twisted mindset... it sounds biblical, but it's so cultish.
