On my previous job I had a 401K, which did pretty good. Your employer matches a certain percent of money you put in. The income is non taxabale unless you withdraw it before retirement. It is placed in various investments to create more wealth for your retirement. After I was let go from my job because of disablity and them not being able to hold me a position, I could no loger be a part of the 401K so I put the funds into a rollover IRA. Doing this I didn't have to pay taxes on the withdrawel. I cose various investments for my IRA funds Mutaual funds, stocks. It has done very well Thank God! I've had a 14% return on my investment since August. Buy Home Depot! I have a new job now and will be eligible to start contributions to a 401K after I have been there 6 months. Free money!
