can we discuss politics at all?

Posted by onlooker on November 15, 2004 at 13:05:33

I think this is relevant since you shut down the soapbox board & it appears that had a lot to do with things but if you want to delete me go ahead...I think it has bearing though. There has been a lot of talk about Acheick regaining her christian faith but I for one don't remember seeing her talking about it in her discussions on the boards so this is news to me....Sure she asked for prayer on Kathy's board I saw that but what I do remember most is that she talked alot about GWB & how good the Republicans were & the war in Iraq....

She said on Soapbox, you can probably guess who I am so my guess is that she posted as the Right Chick ....no big secret there. Maybe she really came back to Christian faith I won't be the judge of that...but it's funny that her surge of faith happened at the same time as the rising heat on politics & elections & her being a Security Mom & all.... Patriotism & religion & apple pie all together if you get what I mean. She may have genuine faith again, but it seems to be mixed pretty heavy with the Republican agenda.... could all the heat & angry postings about Bush & Kerry really be what a lot of this is about? If not, it's damn odd that 3 coordinators all quit within days of the angriest election this country's ever seen. I've never seen this country so divided & after all the fights on Soapbox I'm not surprised to see people here divided.
