You recognized an important point about C's suggesting that A. talk to her therapist about cognative dissonance.

If you look at the message thread, you will notice that this suggestion was made out of the blue. A. was trying to get C. to explain what she meant by the use of the initials "SG," which we exers use when referring to people who were born in TF.

C. was using the term to refer to people who weren't born in TF, and A. was trying to understand why C. used "SG" in that way.

C.'s sudden suggestion that A. should talk to her therapist about cognative dissonance was not relevant to the topic, and was a gratuitous jab at A. It wasn't that C. really thought A. had the condition, she just used the suggestion as a way to embarass A.
