I had been wanting to dance, I mean partner dance my entire life. In TF there were those silly gypsy dances I was not fond of...and there was never a chance to seriously work out (if you loved sports) or seriously enjoy some hobby.

Lately I started dancing. Started taking some swing classes. First Lindy Hop, then East Coast, now I also tried some West Coast Swing. It was a literal epiphany as to how much fun it can be to socialize in such a way. It is great exercise and it takes time to become really good...I've got the time, because in the evening I can just go out there and practice.

I also started salsa dancing. It has been five months, and I regularly hit the floor at least twice a week...and I can manage to stay on that floor and follow a number of leads...at first it was hard even just to do one spin...now I can easily do 2 or 3.
It is so therapeutic that I would encourage anybody to find where classes are given in case you want to try. Now when I travel I just go on the Net and google salsa and swing events and I'm set anywhere in the world...well...most places. It has been the nicest discovery of this past year. Next, I want to start learning tango.

Anybody else dancing out there?
