And my post was in reference to continued slams at FGs. Obviously if it continues it is because flaming continues via slamming posts and these usually elicit responses. Why? Because there is a real ongoing issue that some people seem afraid to address. It seems like if someone steps out of line and speaks not according to the default here, then their comments are reframed and interpreted as either redundant, not valid, "already discussed a great detail" or whatever. I disagree with your assessment. I don't think this issue has been discussed in great detail at all. Or even really truly discussed. For example, below there are some who responded to Jule's post asking just what it is they can do to make up for having been an FG. This has been asked many times followed by no answers. Others seem to see the target of anger for Jules to be FGs at large instead of at her own parents or perpetrators. I think this issue is huge and ignored by and large. Because if it were truly discussed we might get to the root of the problem. We might figure out that we are all EXERS with varying degrees of hurt and have every right regardless of generation to discuss and comment on the effects of the Family to the individual rather than the specific age group. After all there is a board which is strictly limited to age group and seems to default to demonizing exers who were recruited in their youth and joined a group that was quite outwardly different than what was going on behind the scenes. I think most FG exers have been very willing to support SG exers but I DO believe there is a two way street here. Perhaps it is time for some SGs to look at and try to understand what FGs really were looking for or doing when they were recruited rather than the fantasy of depraved adults without brains who joined a Mansonian cult. No. This issue hasn't been discussed in great detail and it is largely smoothed over by kow towing to a very angry person who has unresolved anger and spews it on a generalized population. I am sick of it. Why not write a new improved version of "Old Bottles"? Is there an elite brand of victims from the Family's insanity? I don't think so.
I don't owe any GD reparations to anyone but my own self and my own family. And I have worked hard at that.
