Some answers to your questions

For the record, I came on the boards yesterday morning, saw your post at the top of the page and responded to it. I first looked all over to see where it had been reposted from but couldn't find your post, so then answered the post. Later I chanced to look way down the page and saw your original post to Jules. That is also why, for the record, I made another post about your comments to Jules.

I'd like to just add some thots to what you've said, if you don't mind:

"I was responding to Jules accusations that people have been on these boards for years and have done nothing, etc."

Why did you assume Jules was talking to you, however? Why did you personally take offense to her statement if it didn't apply to you? It does apply to some people, but do you honestly feel you've done nothing? If you didn't feel she was talking about you, don't jump in front of the silver bullet.

"And also, SHE is the one who brought up Carol and I responded to that. Hmmm...did I see a rebuke to Jules? I think not."

I read about 3 or 4 rebukes to Jules, from you and Farmer and others.

"Gosh, Roger, am I being put in a room to fast and pray for my salvation - is that what you mean about the prayer board being good for me? i.e., you're out of place, you speak out too much, now be a good disciple and go to the prayer room."

No, I didn't that, and was surprised when Jo first gave that particular "spin" to my comments. I wondered how she got that interpretation. And now you're saying it. But from your farewell letters and other posts, I recieved the distinct impression that you disdained us, you'd moved on from exFamily boards, wiped our dust off your feet, and thought the boards were useless, down the tubes, and even hostile to Christians. I thought you were happy at the new prayer board where you were frequenting. That's why I was surprised to see you coming back, and unhappy at the tone you set.

"Also, if you read my full post, you will notice I did say that the resources on this site were quite good and beneficial..."

Achieck, I definitely did not get that impression. My distinct impression from your Goodbye letters 1 & 2 was that you felt this site had gone down the tubes. And you made a point of sending your Goodbye letters to everyone on your mailing list, making yourself look good and this site look bad. I felt that was so unfair, and that much of your opinions in those circulars --while your opinion from your personal point of view -- where not only unfair but inaccurate.

I would be happy to know that you sincerely feel different now, but in the meantime your two Farewell letters have gone out far and wide and have undoubtedly left a bad after-taste in many people's minds for this site, which I can only assume was your intention. If that has changed I'm glad, and I know we all do change.

I bear you no ill will, I trust you know that, but sometimes I wonder what your honest feelings are in return.
