That contrast is quide odd, "toning" down the text a bit (purpose??) on the other hand the text is very clear about his motives.I guess the reader shall make up his own mind.However it might be true, that she was, like someone said at movingon, a sweet & loving person etc....only with also free love of the wrong kind, Ricky & others rightfully were not to be exposed to...therefore she was very wrong & still is able to be all cheers & in her death couldn't understand, where she could have been wrong.That's the funny thing about her picture.
(Berg in the other post looks a bit beside himself,a bit lost, sleepy....)yet her not.Was she that ignorantly happy? Although she could have smiled in just that moment for something real good happening to her...
I have the "feeling", that Ricky with "hitting her", he actually hitted at his mother & that's as
high as may be he figured he could get...not high enough for his aspirations...tragic.
