If the family first said she was on a "furlough" for a few months, that does not jive with taking a job. Another question, had she actually left the family, would Ricky have killed her? If she was out of the family, would she still be on the board of FCF for the old folks home? Nope. Doesn't add up. Sounds like the job may have been a cover. But I am sure more will come out as far as FACTS over time.
Anything unsubstantiated is good guessing or poor guessing.
