If someone was "still on high level assignment from Zerby and Smith" would she take an entry level low-paying job at an upscale chain store where, as the San Jose Mercury News reported, the manager took a chance in hiring her even though she had no retail experience at all? I am, by nature, a very skeptical person. I don't accept things at face value and I am always looking for hidden agendas and ulterior motives in routine human behaviour. Nevertheless, I find it quite plausible that after more than 3 decades of being intimately associated with the criminal enterprise of TF's leadership, she was ready to explore retiring into a new life. However, as we have learned from the movies and pop psychology, it is not so easy to retire from a criminal organization
or to adapt to a new life and a new identity. It is certainly a gradual process and considering all the extremely damaging information she probably had on TF, it was undoubtedly in their best interests to keep her on as friendly terms as possible. I am not saying that her attempt to begin a new life excuses her past behaviour in any way but I think we need to be careful to look at this logically. Certainly, keep connecting the dots but do not be surprised if they don't lead where you expected them to. Sometimes things are not what they seem but sometimes they are. I think most of us are looking for the truth here. I don't think the truth is that she was on an undercover mission to infilitrate this retail chain (according to the article below - they had 70 stores in the U.S.) by posing as a low level employee whose job it was to suck up to rich yuppies and to pacify the stockboys by bringing them snacks. Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe TF had a cover story planned for her years in advance in case something embarassing happened to her. But this is unlikely. TF has always operated in plain view hoping no one would be rude enough to mention the elephant taking a dump in the corner. Consider: their defense to everything from kidnapping, prostitution and the torture and rape of children is we don't do that anymore, we have a policy against it and lately we had a policy against the rape and torture of children before anyone else did. These are clearly not people who think logically.
