Slogans, memorization, buddy system, signs, "burning bridges", "spoiling egypt", "obey without question", Praying "God if I ever leave these gates [the family]kill me"-as part of "burning bridges back to Egypt or the system".
How about this? "you are God's endtime elite army", reading of current events via the filter of leadership to underscore endtime. No television, no radio. Only classes, "inspiration", memorization, the dreaded "purging sessions". That was early family. Tests of endurance and loyalty. Trained how to answer the press. I remember one time that Abner disguised himself and we were all gathered into the dining area at TSC and told a reporter wanted to interview us. We were told to answer freely. Abner came in and asked questions then after he was through he took off his disguise and were were sternly corrected and lectured about answers that were breaches of security.
By the way that song:
Three men were walking on the wall
feeling faith and fact
feeling had an awful fall
faith was taken back
Only fact remained so
Fact pulled up faith
and faith pulled up feeling
and they walked on the wall again...

How about fear factor via Annanias and Sapphira classes on holding back anything? Lengthy lectures and classes hours on end, and rebuked to stand when ya got sleepy, humiliated before all.

Every minute of every hour was scheduled. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop". One favored confession in a purging session was "my mind wanders"....Remember RicHARD?
