How come Jeannie (Karen's sister) says this about Karen:
"She was my parentsí pride and joy. She had so much going for her. She had a good job, a college scholarship, and brains. Everything I didnít have, and I was envious..."
... when we read during the "Timothy" series how Maria confessed to how "dumb & simple" she was??? Remember, Timothy (God rest his poor soul) was "worldly" smart and Maria couldn't keep up with him in conversation. Berg said that Maria didn't have to worry because she had more of a "spiritual depth" or something.
I think Maria is smarter than we assumed... in fact more like a "serpant" smartness... if you know what I mean.
