There are people, otherwise intelligent and well meaning, who don't see the difference between corporal correction that becomes torture and real torture. I must be a special type of idiot to think that an adult willingly and forcible hurting a child is torute.
Besides, my original point had to do with the evil doctrines taught in the family, many of which are still in practice by people who have left years ago. Those evil teachings are not only related to corporal punishement but to all kinds of things, from not eating peanut butter or having sugar to believing in FFing or still holding on to Berg's so-called prophecies. Those are evil doctrines and that is what the family teaches.
